Mask Information

FOR EACH MASK SOLD ONE WILL BE DONATED TO AN ESSENTIAL OR FRONTLINE WORKER

Our masks were created to fill a need we have noticed in our communities through medical protective equipment supply shortages for healthcare professionals. We have have joined the movement of makers helping make handmade cloth masks for personal use in order to conserve N95 and surgical masks for frontline workers. Thank you for helping us all be well and following CDC recommendations of mask wearing in public.

Filters Recommendations

Filters can be found in your everyday household items. Ideally HEPA vacuum filters or HEPA vacuum bags (which are also found in air conditioner and air purifier filters) work perfectly as a replaceable filter. Replace after each use.

*make sure all filters are made of polypropylene and not fiber glass

Non-woven polypropylene material is easy to launder and can be found through cutting fabric grocery bags, tote bags and wine bags into a filter shape for your mask. An unused 100% cotton dish towel can also be a highly effective washable filter.

Coffee filters, paper towels and tissue are the least effective but can be used is it is all you have on hand.
